Omigosh I hate windows.

I've been trying to get my desktop back up and running for all of about five hours now. I started with a clean XP install, but that promptly went south as soon as I started to install SP2. Maybe it was that I was trying to do it over a dodgy wireless connection... (is there any other kind?) or maybe it was just that Microsoft hates me.

So SP2's install hangs, and all of a sudden my network connection tanks along with everything else. I manage to get the network connection up and running again, but SP2 won't install.

Finally, I had to reinstall windows (again) and now I've hooked everything up with wires and am currently in the process of installing updates.

I'm thinking there's probably about 50+ updates to Windows that I still have to download. I've run windowsupdate four times now and each time it comes up with something new.

Fucking hell... I should've run linux.
